NEET-UG 2026 Paper Leak Scandal Rocks Rajasthan: Kerala MBBS Student at Centre of Probe
A shocking investigation has revealed that a medical student from Kerala, pursuing MBBS, was behind the leak of a guess paper that matched the actual questions in the NEET-UG 2026 exam. The student’s actions have led to the cancellation of the exam and an ongoing probe by the CBI.
According to officials, the student from Kerala shared the guess paper with friends and a hostel owner in Sikar, Rajasthan, who then distributed it among students, claiming it could be helpful. The paper was allegedly routed through a person in Haryana’s Gurugram before reaching Rajasthan.
The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police found that the circulated PDF files contained around 45 chemistry questions and 90 biology questions with answers that matched the actual exam paper. A social group named ‘Private Mafia’ was also discovered, where the password-protected PDF was shared.
The investigation, which involved questioning over 150 candidates, friends, and parents, revealed that the paper leak likely originated from Nashik. The SOG has handed over the case to the CBI, and several individuals are under suspicion for operating as part of an organised network.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has cancelled the NEET-UG 2026 exam, and the CBI is now investigating the matter. No FIR has been registered in Rajasthan, and further action will depend on evidence emerging during the probe.
The scandal has raised concerns about the integrity of the medical entrance exam and the involvement of coaching institutes, although no direct link has been found so far.
