TMC Has Destroyed Bengal Kiren Rijiju Vows Economic Revival Amid Strong Pro-BJP Wave
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC), claiming that the ruling party’s policies over the last decade have “systematically destroyed” the economic and social fabric of West Bengal. Speaking during a high-stakes campaign stop for the ongoing Assembly elections, Rijiju asserted that there is an unmistakable “strong wave” in favor of the BJP across the state, including in traditional TMC strongholds. He promised that a BJP-led government would prioritize reviving industrial growth, creating jobs, and restoring the state’s historical position as a premier economic hub in India.
The Minister emphasized that the state’s current administrative climate has stifled investment and led to an exodus of talent. By pitching the “Double Engine Government” model—where the same party governs at both the State and Center—Rijiju argued that West Bengal could finally unlock stalled infrastructure projects and central welfare benefits. As the state moves through the critical phases of the election, his remarks underscore the BJP’s strategy of framing the contest as a choice between “stagnation under the TMC” and “development under the BJP,” aiming to consolidate the support of voters seeking a shift in the state’s economic trajectory.
