The Congress has launched a fierce attack on the Central Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the clash between Chinese troops and Indian soldiers inside the Indian border in Arunachal Pradesh. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has accused the Central Government of maintaining silence and adopting a policy of surrender before China. The Congress gave this reaction after the Director General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) praised the confrontation with China at several places in Arunachal Pradesh and the bravery of Indian soldiers.

In a message posted on social media platform X, the Congress leader said – “While on one hand the Prime Minister’s continuous process of giving concessions by kneeling before China continues, at the same time the DG of ITBP has praised the performance of the ITBP in the conflict with the Chinese PLA inside Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh, which is absolutely correct. But…”

According to the Congress, the “silence” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government on the question of securing the country’s borders has harmed the interests of the nation. The opposition party has demanded a clarification in Parliament regarding the actual situation on the border and to inform the people of the country.
