“Enzo Fernández’s Stunning Header Sends Chelsea to FA Cup Final vs Manchester City”
Chelsea secured their place in the final of the FA Cup football tournament by defeating Leeds United 1-0 at Wembley on Sunday. Chelsea registered this victory thanks to a lone goal scored in the first half by Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernández. Now, the title clash between Chelsea and Manchester City will take place on May 16. City secured their place in the FA Cup final for a record fourth time by defeating Newcastle Southampton 2-1 on Saturday night.
In the 23rd minute of the semi-final, Fernández managed to score a header between defenders from a cross by Portuguese winger Pedro Neto. Chelsea, an eight-time winner, had dismissed their coach Liam Rosenior on Wednesday after five consecutive Premier League losses. Following this, coach Callum McFarlane took command of the team, and Chelsea maintained dominance in his very first match. However, they had to rely on Robert Sánchez to stop Leeds from scoring. He stopped shots from Brenden Aaronson and Anton Stach in both halves of the match.
