Indian Women’s Team Defeated by Kenya FIFA Series Semi-Final

In the semi-finals of the FIFA Series 2024, the Indian women’s football team suffered an unexpected defeat. They faced a disappointing 0-2 loss against Kenya. From the very beginning of the match, Kenya displayed an aggressive performance.
In the second minute of the game, Martha scored the first goal, giving her team an early lead. In the 55th minute, Tevesa Abuniya scored another goal, securing Kenya’s victory.
During this match, Indian team player Jadu sustained an injury and was replaced by captain Pyari Xaxa. However, just 14 minutes later, Pyari Xaxa also suffered a serious injury and had to be immediately taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Earlier that day, in another semi-final match, Estonia defeated Monaco with a dominant 5-0 score to enter the final. India will now face Monaco in the third-place play-off on April 15th. The final match will be held on the same day, where Kenya and Estonia will face each other.
