Sanju Samson Puts Team First: CSK Star Achieves IPL Milestone with Unbeaten 87 vs DC

Playing an unbeaten innings of 87 runs against Delhi Capitals yesterday, Sanju Samson played a crucial role in Chennai Super Kings’ victory. With this, he has achieved another milestone. Sanju has become the third batter in IPL history to score 200 or more runs against a specific team in a single season.
In the first match against Delhi this season, Sanju played an unbeaten innings of 115 runs. Previously, Virat Kohli played two century innings in two encounters against Gujarat Lions in 2016. Following him, in 2022, KL Rahul scored centuries in both matches against Mumbai Indians.
On the other hand, Sanju did not complete his century yesterday despite having the opportunity. When Chennai needed 30 runs for victory, Sanju was 21 runs away from his hundred. After the match, he stated that he prioritized the team’s success over personal achievement and did not think about the century.
