Sunrisers Win By 65 Runs; Second Consecutive Defeat For Kolkata

Kolkata Knight Riders suffered their second consecutive defeat in the IPL. Playing on home turf today, the team was defeated by Sunrisers Hyderabad by 65 runs. The Kolkata team once again had to suffer due to poor bowling. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad made a strong comeback after losing their first match.
In the match held today at Eden Gardens, batting first, Sunrisers scored 226 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted overs. Heinrich Klaasen scored 52, Abhishek Sharma contributed 48, and Travis Head contributed 46 runs. For Kolkata, Blessing Muzarabani took four wickets and Vaibhav Arora took two.
In reply, the Knight Riders’ innings ended at 161 runs in 16 overs. Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 52, Rinku Singh 35, and Finn Allen scored 28 runs. For Sunrisers, Jaydev Unadkat took three wickets, while Ishan Malinga and Nitish Kumar Reddy took two wickets each. Nitish, who also scored 39 runs with the bat, was selected as the Player of the Match.
