UCO Bank’s Profit Rises to ₹801 Crore’Every country faces threat from AI Myths’
The threat of cyberattacks linked to Anthropic’s new Mythos AI is looming over every country, not just India. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has held a meeting with the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) regarding this, and we are working on measures to tackle it. These statements were made by Ashwin Kumar, CMD of UCO Bank, while speaking to reporters during the announcement of the bank’s quarterly results.
Financial Highlights: Increased by 22.66% to reach ₹801 crore in the March quarter, compared to ₹653 crore in the same quarter last year.
Grew by 15%, crossing ₹5.90 lakh crore. Growth in Retail, Agriculture, and MSME sectors stood at 24.23%. Specifically, MSME loans saw a year-on-year growth of 19.36%.
Gross NPA (Non-Performing Assets) decreased by 52 bps year-on-year to 2.17%.
Stood at ₹1,573 crore for the quarter.
The bank has declared a dividend of 4.40% (44 paise per share) for the year 2025-26.
Business per employee increased to ₹28.08 crore, and business per branch rose to ₹172.91 crore.
